The coroner said death occurred about 2:30. He had been sick, but was up. He got a haircut and shave Tuesday, and afterwards went to bed for a rest. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Queen Street Baptist Church, Dr. J. Jasper Freeman, pastor, will officiate and deliver the eulogy. burial will be in Calvary cemetery with Graves Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. A native of Norfolk, Mr. Braswell was the son of the late Ira Braswell Sr. and Mrs. Mattie Braswell. He was a member of Queen Street Church, the Tux Club and Bachelor Benedict Club. He retired from the postal service in 1959 after serving 28 years. He is survived by three brothers, Ira Braswell Jr., Perry Moss Braswell and Joshua V. Braswell, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Medora Hodges and Mrs. Clara B. Rowland, both of Harrisburg, PA; several nephews, nieces, uncles and aunts.
