Braye of 617 Marshall avenue died in a hospital. A native of Norfolk, he was a son of Mrs. Henrietta R. Braye and the late Myles Braye. He was a member of Bank Street Baptist Church, a painter, and an Army veteran of World War II. Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers; Wallace K. Braye of Norfolk and Melvin O. Braye of New York, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarice B. Baker of Philadelphia and Mrs. Audrey L. Terrell of Chesapeake. Services were held in Bank Street Baptist Church by the Rev. J. B. Henderson. Burial with full military honors, was in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
