Virginian Pilot January 23, 1909   

Mrs. Maggie E. Braziel, wife of R.M. Braziel of Berkley ward, died yesterday 
morning about 1:30 o'clock at the Norfolk Protestant hospital after an illness 
of pneumonia since December.
She was 30 years old and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas of North 
Carolina, but had been a resident of Berkley for about six months.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence of L. Bolsome, 219 State 
street.  Rev. W.S. Smith, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church, will 
conduct the services and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
