He was the son of the late Horace and Mrs. Adelia Brehon, and husband of the late Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Brehon. He was a native of Norfolk, and had retired from employment at the Central Y.M.C.A., where he had served more than 30 years. He was a member of St. John A.M.E. Church. Surviving are six sons, Herbert L. Brehon of New York City; George Brehon, Joseph W. Brehon, James Brehon, Clarence Brehon and Vernon Brehon, all of Norfolk; six daughters, Mrs. Vernice Howell and Mrs. Delina Perkins, both of Washington, Mrs. Hazel Bailey of Portsmouth; Mrs. Dorothy Freeman, Mrs. Sarah Sanderlin, Mrs. May Gay, all of Norfolk; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Smith, and one brother, James Brehon, also of Norfolk; 22 grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. John A.M.E. Church by the Rev. J. R. Johnson, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with the Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
