She had gone to her old home in hope of relief from her sufferings, but her disease took a fatal turn, and her family was shocked to hear of her death. The funeral of Mrs. Caroline H. Brenan, wife of Captain William Brenan, an announcement of whose death in Suffolk was made in the last issue of this paper, took place yesterday from Christ P. E. Church, this city, and the services were conducted by the rector, Rev. O. S. Barten, D.D. The remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery, the following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: Messrs. T. F. Andrus, W. A. Minter, D. B. Dunbar, C. J. Kizer, H. E. Orr, Jr. and George Gregory.
