Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 6, 1954
George Washington Brent, 77, of 1200 Ann Avenue, South Norfolk, died in a Norfolk 
hospital yesterday at 11:40 a.m. after an illness of four months. He was a 
lifelong resident of Norfolk. The husband of the late Mary Virginia Carr Brent, he 
is survived by two sons, Thomas J. Brent, of South Norfolk, and John W. Brent of 
Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Addison and Mrs. Earl Gibson, of Norfolk, 
and eleven grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home where funeral services will be 
conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial 
Park.
