Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 11, 1925
Mrs. Mary Virginia Brent, age 46, wife of George Brent, No. 1 W. Indian River 
road, died yesterday afternoon at 4:55 o'clock at a local hospital after an 
illness of several days.  Born in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late James and 
Mrs. Sopora Hodges Carr, Mrs. Brent had lived in Berkley practically all of her 
life.
Two sons, Thomas Jefferson and John William Brent; a half brother, James Carr and 
a half sister, Mrs. Thomas Pell, Tarboro, N.C. survive her.  Funeral arrangements 
will be announced later.
