She was 74 years old. Sister Marie, whose name was Edith Brent before she entered the order of the Daughters of Charity, was a native of Charles County, Md., and a daughter of the late George and Mrs. Catherine Merrick Brent. She had been in charge of the record rooms at St. Vincent’s hospital for the past 15 years. Before that she taught at St. Mary’s school, where she was known as Sister Mary. Surviving Sister Marie is a sister, Miss Adele Brent, of Washington; two nieces, Miss Catherine and Rosa Neale, of New York, and two nephews, the Rev. Millard Neale of Raleigh, N. C., and Brent Neale of New York.
