Virginian Pilot June 13, 1958

Diana Cheryl Brent, 11, daughter of Sherman Earl and Mrs. Frances Elvira DeTrent 
Brent, died Thursday at 3:15 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of the Canal Zone and had been a resident of this section since 
December 1956, residing at 1225 Kempsville Rd. at the time of her death.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Samuel DeTrent, of Abington, Pa. and her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
William Brent, of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Pius X 
Catholic Church for funeral services Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's cemetery.

NORFOLK — Funeral services for Diana Cheryl Brent, ll-year-old daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Sherman Earl Brent, who died Thursday in a Norfolk hospital, were 
conducted at St. Pius X Catholic Church Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Urban Lux. 
The Rev. Michael Giblin was present in the sanctuary. Burial was in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. 
Pallbearers were John H. Walters, David G. Mootes, William W. Charette and Fred 
E. Dickins.
