H. S. Hardcastle, pastor. There was a large attendance and many beautiful flowers, the casket being covered with a pall of Easter lilies and white and orchid asters. During the services Mrs. L. W. Vaughan, accompanied on the organ by Mrs. S. H. Ferebee, sang “Sometime We’ll Understand,” and “In the Sweet Bye and Bye.” Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. C. A. Downing, Miss Ruth Callahan, Mrs. Archie Megginson, Miss Dorothy Lee Underhill, Mrs. William Cooper, Miss Jean Carr, Miss Lucille LaFurno, Mrs. Herman Colley, Miss Elsie Bryant and Miss Mildred Lightfoot; active pallbearers were H. P. Brett, Elmo Eason, Guy Mitchell, C. A. Downing, Thornton Fleetwood, William Cooper, Guy Byrd and Archie Megginson. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
