The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Monday September 24, 1928
Mrs. Sallie W. Brickhouse, widow of Ryland T. Brickhouse, a native of 
Northampton County and for the past 50 years a well-known resident of 
Norfolk, died at the residence of her nephew, W.B. Burgess, 6123 Hampton 
boulevard, Sunday morning at 5:15 o'clock.  She is survived by four sisters, 
Mrs. W.L. Hanby, of Cherryton; Mrs. William J. Willis, Miss Lelia D. Travis 
and Mrs. J.T. Hudgins, of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews.  She was 
a member of Larchmont M.E. Church.
Funeral services will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 
o'clock, the Rev. J.T. Bosman, pastor of Larchmont M.E. Church, and the Rev. 
R.E.F. Aler, pastor of Larchmont Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
