VIRGINIA BEACH - Allen S. Bridge, DDS, 59, of the 100 block of 58th St., died 
August 18, 2005, in his residence.
Dr. Bridge was a native of Richmond, VA, and a resident of Hampton Roads for 11 
years. He was the son of the late Sidney Bridge and Sylvia Peters Glick. He was 
a retired self-employed dentist.
Dr. Bridge was a member, board member and current president of B'Nai Israel 
Congregation. He was a cantor at High Holy Days at Congregation Or Atid, 
Richmond, VA, for 11 years. He attended the University of Richmond and 
graduated from the Medical College of Virginia, School of Dentistry class of 
1971. Following his retirement he wrote the curriculum for the Tidewater Tech 
Dental Program where he was the head of the Dental Assisting Program. He was 
employed by Old Dominion University in the School of Dental Hygiene as a 
lecturer and clinic dentist.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Esther Sturman Bridge and his 
daughters, Melissa R. Schoenfeld and her husband Seth of Norfolk and Sara Beth 
Lieb and her husband Yissachar of Brooklyn, NY, his son, Sidney Bridge and his 
wife Amy of Norfolk, and six grandchildren, Rebekka, Rena Leah, Lila, Raizel 
Bracha, Levi Yitzchok and Rivka.
Graveside services will be held at B'Nai Israel Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. today. 
Rabbi Yosef Friedman and Rabbi Sender Haber will officiate. The family will sit 
Shiva at the home of Melissa and Seth Schoenfeld, 1201 Prince Edward Way, 
Norfolk, following the funeral.
H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
