Norfolk - Edward Bridgeforth of 3715 Bowdens Ferry Road, the husband of Mrs. 
Vernice Bridgeforth and a native of Waverly, died Saturday in a hospital.

He worked for the Norfolk Street Repairs Department.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Linda Lomax of Okawaki, and Misses 
Alice Bridgeforth and Beverly Bridgeforth of Norfolk; three sons, James 
Bridgeforth of Newport News, and Newbern Bridgeforth and William Bridgeforth of 
Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Taylor and Mrs. Carrie Garrett, and a brother, 
James Bridgeforth, all of New York City; and 11 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at noon in St. Andrew’s Church of God in 
Christ by Bishop A. J. Jones. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Hale 
Funeral Home in charge.
