BRIDGES, MRS. LESLIE CAREY – In a Norfolk hospital, Wednesday, MRS. LESLIE CAREY 
BRIDGES, widow of Frank J. Bridges and daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and 
Mrs. Emma Burk Carey, in the 80th year of her age. A memorial service will be held 
in the Selden Chapel of Christ & St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Saturday at 11 a.m. 
Burial will be private in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may take the form 
of contributions to The Prayer Book Society, 120 Village Square, Ste. 2, 
Louisville, KY 40243. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, has charge.
