Virginian-Pilot July 4, 1958
NORFOLK — Mrs. Mary Ann Fair Briggs, wife of George S. Briggs, died Thursday at 
8:45 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of Brookline, Mass., and had lived in Norfolk for 28 years, 
lately at 1108 W. 40th St. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie 
Fair.
Besides her husband, there are no known survivors.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Derry-Twiford Funeral 
Home. The body will be sent to Washington for cremation. It has been requested 
that flowers be omitted.
