Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 25, 2010
NORFOLK - Bryan Douglas "Q-Book" or "Teach" Briggs , 43, went home to be 
with the Lord March 21, 2010. Bryan was born Dec. 14, 1966 in Norfolk. He 
was preceded in death by his brother, Roderic T. Briggs . He was a 1985 
graduate of Granby High School and a graduate of Virginia State University, 
Petersburg, Va. He was employed by the STOP Organization and Norfolk public 
school system. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, DaNayshia Mitchell; his 
mother, Barbara T. Briggs ; father, Joseph E. Briggs (Gloria); brother, 
Joseph E. Briggs Jr.; two uncles, Douglas Tyler and Stanley Tyler; an aunt, 
Susan Walker; godmother, Frances Giddens; his former wife, Gloria Harris 
Briggs ; many other loving relatives and friends. 

A homegoing service will be held Saturday, March 27, at 10:30 a.m. in 
Jerusalem Baptist Church, 718 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk. Burial will be in 
Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. in Riddick Funeral 
Service.
