Norfolk Ledger Dispatch June 13, 1931

Charles Clayton Bright, aged 63 years, died at the residence, 946 Ocean View 
Avenue, yesterday evening at 11:05 o'clock. 
Mr. Bright was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C. and a resident of Norfolk for 
the past forty years. For a number of years he was associated with Mr. George 
Hickman, of the Virginian Railway, but had recently retired. He was a member of 
Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Ruby McCarty Bright, he is survived by two daughters, 
Mrs. George Hickman, of Norfolk and Mrs. Charles Donegan, of Newport News, Va.; 
one son, Charles C. Bright, Jr., of Norfolk; one brother, Elisha Bright,  of 
Elizabeth City, N.C.; six grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, Monday morning at 
10 o'clock. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
