Virginian Pilot July 15, 1981

Charles Christopher Bright, 78, of 145 W. Ocean Ave., the husband of Mrs. 
Margaret Dixon Bright and a lifelong Norfolk resident, died Monday in a 
hospital.
He was retired from Norfolk & Western Railway Co and was a Roman Catholic.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Bright Carver, and a sister, 
Mrs. George H. Hickman, both of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and three 
great-grandchildren.
A Wake service followed by visitation will be held tonight at 7:30 in St. 
Nicholas Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be in the church Thursday at 10 
a.m. with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, has charge. Memorial donations may be 
made to the debt fund of St. Nicholas Church or to St. Mary's Infant Home.

BRIGHT, CHARLES CHRISTOPHER — In a Virginia Beach hospital, Monday, CHARLES 
CHRISTOPHER BRIGHT, husband of Mrs. Margaret Dixon Bright and son of the late 
Charles and Mrs. Ruby McCarty Bright, in the 78th year of his age. A funeral 
mass will be celebrated in St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Thursday at 10 a.m. 
Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road, has 
charge. Omit flowers and make memorial donations to St. Nicholas Debt Fund or 
St. Mary's Infant Home.
