Norfolk - A funeral service for Mrs. Laura Webb Bright of 2419 Ruffin street 
was held Tuesday in St. John AME Church. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with 
Chatman Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Bright died June 5 in a local hospital. A native of Suffolk, she was 
the widow of William Bright and a daughter of the late Robert H. Sheppard 
and Mrs. Mary L. Sheppard. She was a member of the Missionary Society of St. 
John and of the Ruffin - Masi Street Neighborhood Club.

Surviving are two sons, Edward C. and Dr. Joseph A. Webb of Norfolk; five 
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
