Bright, 74, widow of Oscar L. Bright and daughter of Henry and Mrs Pathenia Weston Tayloe, died in a Norfolk hospital Friday at 4 a.m. She was a native of Bertie County, N.C. and lived in Norfolk 61 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and United Daughters of the Confederacy. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Susan Pratt of Norfolk and Mrs. Frances Wade of Hickory; three sons, Melvin W. Bright and William O. Bright of Norfolk and Charles E. Bright of Durham, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Powers of Norfolk; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Trinity Baptist Church for a funeral service Sunday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Walker N. Stockburger. The body will be in the church an hour before the service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
