NORFOLK - William Bright of 1421 Anne St. died Thursday in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of William and Mrs. Eliza Bright. He was a 
retired employe of Atlantic Permanent Building and Loan Association and a 40-
year choir member and a founder and first president of Progressive League of 
First Baptist Church, Bute Street. He was a member of Rising Sun Masonic Chapter 
2 and Sons of Norfolk.

Surviving is a cousin, Miss Bessie Moseley of New York.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in First Baptist Church by the 
Rev. E.P. Sims. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Sannon Funeral Home in 
charge. The body is at Humphries Funeral Home. The family is at 2948 Pioneer 
Ave., and a funeral procession will leave that address at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
