Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, November 3, 2002 
Gladys J. Bright of the 7400 block of Hughart St., died Oct. 31, 2002. She was
born in Darlington, S.C.

She is survived by her former spouse, Robert D. Bright; two daughters, Lolita
Williams of Chesapeake and Kim Bright of Norfolk; two sons, Roderick Bright and
Robert T. Bright, both of Norfolk; her mother, Lizzie McKiver of Norfolk; a
sister, Jessie Spencer of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Bobby Johnson of
Norfolk, Roosevelt Johnson Jr. and Fate Johnson, both of Virginia Beach; six
grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and mother-in-law, Mildred Bright of Norfolk.
She was predeceased by her father, Roosevelt Johnson Sr.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church by
Pastor William C. Davis. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be
taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Gladys enjoyed life to the fullest and that is what life is all about. Enjoy the
time that God has given each of us.
