Norfolk - A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Riddick Funeral 
Chapel for Mrs. Thelma Briley of 919 E. Princess Anne road.  Interment was in 
Calvary Cemetery.  Mrs. Briley died Sunday in a hospital after a short illness.  
Elder J. L. Kearney will officiate at the services.

The Norfolk native was a daughter of Emmett and Mrs. Charlotte Jones and the 
wife of William Briley.

Besides her husband, surviving are a son, Curtis Holley, a daughter, Mrs. Gloria 
Lowe and a brother, John Jefferson,  all of Norfolk;  a sister, Miss Estelle 
Jefferson of New York;  and five grandchildren.
