Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, January 2, 1991 
Carrie Stalling Brinkley, 85, a native of Edenton, N.C., died Dec. 28, 1990, in
a nursing home.

Mrs. Brinkley was the widow of James Brinkley and was a member of Greater
Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, Norfolk.

Survivors include a daughter, Josephine Horton of Elmira; three sisters, Matilda
S. Sessions and Margaret Sinteno, both of Norfolk, and Arnnthia Wills of
Hertford, N.C.; two brothers, William Stalling and Charles Stalling, both of New
York; and a grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Greater Metropolitan A.M.E.
Zion Church by the Rev. Joseph Lamb. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Friends may join the family at 2516 Middle Ave., Norfolk. Hale Funeral Home is
handling arrangements.
