Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Friday April 3, 1925
Mills Brinkley, aged 60, prominent Norfolk County truck farmer, died yesterday 
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his residence at Oaklette, Norfolk County.  He was a 
son of the late Miles and Mrs. Angeline Rountree Brinkley.  He was a native of 
Gates County, N.C., and had resided in this section for the past 26 years.
Mr. Brinkley is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Jane Brinkley; three daughters, 
Misses Virgie Marie, Lolie and Lucille Brinkley; two sons, Wiley G. and Henry B. 
Brinkley, all of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 
o'clock by the Rev. C.E. Carson, pastor of Oaklette Methodist Church.  Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
