Gilford Brinkley, 54, of 531 E. Olney Road, died at his home on Tuesday, July
27, and his funeral was held at Hale's Chapel with the Rev. R. K. D. Garrett
officiating on Sunday, August 1. The deceased was a native of North Carolina and
had lived here for 25 years. He is survived by one daughter, Miss Bessie
Brinkley, with whom he lived; three sons, Yancey, Thomas, and Eddie Brinkley.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
