Brambleton Avenue, was held at the Queen Street Baptist Church, Thursday, Dec. 4, at 2:30 p.m. Eulogistic remarks, touching upon the life and membership of Mr. Brinkley in the church were made by Mr. C. P. I. Christian. Solos were sung by Charles Joynes and Mrs. R. Perkins. An original poem on the home life of Mr. Brinkley was read by Dr. W. T. Lovette. Rev. P. P. Eaton conducted the ceremonies. Crowds, young and old, filled the church. Huge floral designs were in profusion. The pall bearers were Edward Avery, Jesse Britt, James P. Carter, Curtis Fitzgerald, Ellis Guy, Henry Jenkins, and William Newsome,Jr. The deceased was nineteen years of age. The remains were laid to rest in the Calvary Cemetery.
