NORFOLK - Mrs. Angelina Scelzi Briola, 81, of 112 E. Cromwell Parkway, the widow 
of John B. Briola and a native of Norfolk, died Friday evening in a hospital.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Harry C. Coureas of Virginia Beach; a sister, 
Mrs. Alexander Melonia, and two brothers, Joseph Scelzi and Rocco Scelzi, all of 
Norfolk; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The Rosary will be said Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. A 
Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will 
be at 7305 Colony Point Road.
