NORFOLK — John Baptiste Briola, 68, husband of Mrs. Angelina Briola and son of the 
late John and Mrs. Angelina Chico Briola, a native of Italy and a resident of 
Norfolk for 54 years, died yesterday at 8 a.m. at the residence, 1614 Morris 
Avenue.

Mr. Briola, a musician and barber, was a member and past president of the 
Musician’s Local 125, and a member of Roma Lodge, Sons of Italy.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. H. C. Coureas, of Norfolk, 
three grandchildren and one brother.

The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for services Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments tonight at 
7:30 o’clock.
