Brite, aged 46 years, died yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, at the residence of Mrs. C.E. Hurst, 22 Rogers Street, South Norfolk, after an illness of some time. The deceased was a son of the late James W. and Mrs. Sophia Sawyer Brite, of North Carolina, but he had been a resident of this section about ?8 years. He was well known and esteemed. He was an active member of Oakdale Lodge, No. 70, I.O.O.F., South Norfolk and Tidewater Council, No. 30, Jr. O.U.A.M. of Berkley. He is survived by the following children: Horace, Lillian, Joseph and Mary Brite and brothers, C.W. Brite, of Hampton; W.E. Brite, Berkley; J.E. Brite, Washington State and G.T. Brite, of the Hawaiian Islands. The funeral services will be conducted at the above residence this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. The lodges of which he was a member have been called out to attend the funeral.
