Brittle, an esteemed citizen, died Monday afternoon at 8:30 o'clock after about ten days' illness of typhoid pneumonia at his home on Franklin avenue, Oakdale. The deceased was 31 years old and leaves a wife and two small children. He was a well liked employee of the Norfolk and Western Railroad Company, with which company he had been employed about twelve years as telegraph operator. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Telegraphers. The funeral will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with Rev. Paul Bradley officiating. The interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Berkley Lodge of Masons will turn out at the grave in a body.
