Annie W. Broadnax, 84, of the 1200 block of Lead St., died Dec. 17, 1990, in a
hospital.

Mrs. Broadnax, a native of Branchville, had retired from J.H. Mills. She was a
member of Freedom Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Hattie M.
Moore of New York City, Lillie M. Lowery and Laura Gray, both of Norfolk, and
Arlene Hunter of Chesapeake; two sons, Earnest Broadnax and Sidney Broadnax Jr.,
both of New York City; a sister, Eunice Harris of Virginia Beach; two brothers,
James Woodard and Johnnie Woodard, both of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren and 14
great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Woodland Avenue Baptist Church
by the Rev. Lloyd B. Allen. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may
join the family from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday in Twilight Funeral Home and will
assemble at 1 p.m. Sunday at the residence for the procession.
