Rosa Broadnax, 90, passed away on February 26, 2018 surrounded by family. She was 
born on November 10, 1927 in Jackson NC to Ora and William Lassiter. She was 
preceded in death by two children, Richard Lassiter and Virginia Broadnax, as well 
as all of her siblings.
She is survived by 7 children, James Broadnax (Libby), Paul Broadnax, Pauline 
Broadnax-Antomattei (Augustin), Jeanette Kimble, Patricia Lans (Anthony), Lorenzo 
Broadnax and Sandra McGee (Brian); 13 grandchildren, Ayanna Sanders (Marlon), 
Larrie Johnson (Crystal), Lakisa Satterfield, Colette Johnson, Paul Satterfield, 
Octavia and Ashley Yancey and Latonka King, Dominique Satterfield, Anthony Lans 
Jr., Ashley Lans, Otis Kimble Jr., and Deion Wright; 23 great-grandchildren; and 
special nieces Catherine Carter and Minnie Lassiter and a host of extended family 
and dear friends.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4pm to 6 pm and the funeral 
service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00am at Metropolitan 
Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Norfolk, VA.
