Virginia D. Broadnax, 58, passed away April 1, 2011. She was born June 20, 1952, 
in Scotland Neck, N.C. She served as an Airman in the U.S. Air Force. She is 
survived by one daughter, Ayanna B. Sanders; her mother, Rosa Broadnax; four 
sisters, Pauline B. Antomattei, Patricia Lans, Sandra Mack and Jeanette Kimble; 
three brothers, Paul Broadnax, James Broadnax and Lorenzo Broadnax; two 
grandchildren, Myles and Morgan Sanders. The family would like to thank the staff 
of the Hampton Veterans Medical Center-Nursing Home B, as they too were her 
family. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Metropolitan Funeral 
Service, Granby St. Chapel. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk.
