Rada Pearl Broadnax of the 4100 block of Bonney Road died Jan. 28, 2004, at
Sentara Bayside Hospital. Born in Norfolk, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Adedayo M. Peterson of Norfolk; three sons, Ronnie
Peterson and wife Vickie of Portsmouth, David Miller of Norfolk, Kenneth Miller
and wife Joyce of Richmond; two sisters, Emma Washington and Bernice James, both
of Jamaica, Queens, N.Y.; a brother, James Peterson of Garnette, S.C.; six
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral
Home, Norfolk Chapel, by Bishop Anthony Earl Moses. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing Tuesday from 3:30 to 8 p.m. The
family will assemble at 3803 Headwind Lane, at 12:30 p.m. for the procession.
