Virginian Pilot Sunday May 10, 1903
Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Brock, a well-known and highly respected lady of the town, 
died yesterday morning at 8 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Daugherty, 
on Berkley avenue.  The end came after a lingering illness of about three 
months.
The deceased was born in Princess Anne County, was 74 years old and had been a 
resident of the town about 31 years.  She was one of the first members of the 
Methodist church of this place and in her younger days was actively identified 
with the church work.  She was the widow of the late William H. Brock, who 
preceded her to the grave about two years ago.
The funeral will be conducted from Memorial M.E. Church this afternoon at 5 
o'clock by Rev. W. Asbury Christian, pastor of the church and the interment will 
be in Magnolia Cemetery.
