W. H. Riser, the pastor. There were many beautiful floral tributes, in­cluding a standing anchor from the Merritt & Chapman officials, a standing anchor from the men of the steamer Rescue, a pillow from other Merritt & Chapman officials, and a beautiful cluster of roses from the men of the steam­er Coley. The interment was in Elm­wood cemetery. The following were the pallbearers: W. H. Lauder, Captain Ransone. Captain Kight, John Jacobson, Martin Benson and R. C. Sollie.
