BROOKS, HARVEY MAXWELL, SR. – At a Norfolk hospital, Thursday morning, July 26, 
1956, at 5:20 o’clock, HARVEY MAXWELL BROOKS, SR., husband of Mrs. Bettie Watkins 
Brooks, and son of the late Robert Charlie and Mrs. Virginia Morgan Brooks, in the 
66th year of his age. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home SATURDAY AFTERNOON, July 28, 1956, at 3 o’clock. Friends of the 
family invited to attend. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
