Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, December 27, 1997 
Charles H. Brooks, 78, of the 100 block of Suburban Parkway, died Dec. 24, 1997,
in Lafayette Villa Health Center.

Mr. Brooks was born in Norfolk and was a retired warehouseman. He attended
Wesley Union A.M.E. Zion Church and was an Army veteran. He was the widower of
Alma V. Brooks.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Foster, Miss Jean Brooks and
Mrs. Almina Jones, all of Norfolk; 13 grandchildren; and a cousin, Catherine
Edwards.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in the chapel of Hale Funeral Home
with Minister Joyce Martin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
