Brothers, 68, of 1828 E. Lexington street, who died in a Norfolk Hospital on Sunday after a short illness. The Rev. Dr. W. L. Hamilton officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Riddick Funeral Service. Mrs. Brothers was the daughter of the late George and Susie Outlaw, and the widow of Clifford M. Brothers. At Shiloh Baptist she was a member of the pastor’s Sunday school class, the Senior Missionary Circle and the deaconess board. She also was a member of the Macedonia lodge of the United Order of Tents. Survivors include a brother, Walter Outlaw of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ottley of New York; four sons, William H., Eugene R., Robert L. and Joseph L. Brothers of Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys I. Shigg and Mrs. Delores B. Holley of Norfolk, and Mrs. Coralee B. Rowell of Columbus GA; and 14 grandchildren.
