Virginian Pilot May 24, 1911

Samuel L. Brothers, 59 years old, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the 
family residence, 79 Walnut street, after a brief illness.
The deceased was a native of Norfolk county, and was a son of the late Wilson 
Brothers and was quite well known in Berkley ward.
He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Sallie Brothers and one daughter, Mrs. T.C. Price. 

He had been a resident of Berkley twenty-two years.  The funeral will be conducted 
from the above residence this afternoon at 5:30 o'clock, Rev. W.T. Green 
officiating and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
