Virginian Pilot June 28, 1983

Rebekah G. Broughton, 86, formerly of 534 Washington Park, a native of Norfolk, 
died Monday in a hospital.
She had retired as a chief clerk with the Army Corps of Engineers and was a home 
service advisor for the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Mrs. 
Broughton was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Oliver L. Haight of Norfolk.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Elmwood Cemetery 
by the Rev W.D. Hasty Jr. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is in 
charge,
Memorial donations may be sent to the Second Presbyterian Church building fund 
or to a charity of the donor's choice.
