Norfolk Journal and Guide, Jan 30,1943
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Broughton, 45, who died at her home in Oakwood, 
VA, January 18, were held at the Oakwood Disciples Chapel, January 24. The 
Rev. Richard Thomas officiated. Surviving are her husband, William Broughton; 
her mother, two sisters, and two brothers. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery.
