BROUGHTON, JR., ALEXANDER BELL – In a local hospital, Thursday, ALEXANDER BELL 
BROUGHTON, JR., son of the late Alexander Bell and Mrs. Frances Hart Broughton, in 
the 55th year of his age. A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apts., Norfolk, Saturday at 11 o’clock. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery. The family 
requests that flowers be omitted and contributions be made to Virginia Beach 
Rescue Squad or the Heart Fund.

Additional Comments:
While his tombstone shows "Jr.," in fact, his grandfather and father were both 
named Alexander Bell Broughton, making this one "III."
