Norfolk Virginian Pilot July 10, 1942
Miss Amelia D. Hartshorn Broughton, daughter of the late William H. and Mrs. 
Amelia Dana Hartshorn Broughton, died at the residence, 2-A Olney Court 
Apartments, 531 West Olney road last night at 9:30 o'clock.  Miss Broughton was a 
lifelong resident of Norfolk, and was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church.  
She is survived by a nephew, Frederick B. Ballou, of Virginia Beach and a niece, 
Mrs. Helen Ballou Miller, of West Barnstable, Mass.  The body was taken to the 
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, pending arrangements.
