The Virginian Pilot January 21, 1958
Mrs. Kate Willett Broughton, 86, widow of John Broughton and daughter of the 
late Allen Walton and Mrs. Alice Davis Willett, a native of Princess Anne 
County and a lifelong resident of this section, died yesterday at 3:55 p.m. at 
the residence, 725 Boissevain Ave.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Charles F. Pilley, Mrs. Arthur M. Guy 
and Miss Alliene Broughton, and one son, J. Walton Broughton, all of Norfolk; 
two grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Wednesday at 
11 a.m. by the Rev. Edward H. Jones, D.D., pastor, and the Rev. Jason L. 
MacMillan, D.D., pastor emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church.  Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
