Gerald Joseph Broussard, 69, of the 4800 block of Newport Ave., a retired self-
employed automobile appraiser, died Aug. 24, 1992, in a hospital.

Mr. Broussard was born in Loreauville, La. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Miller Broussard; two daughters, Sharon M. 
Willard of Herndon, Va., and Suzanne R. Bearden of Norfolk; three sons, Gerald 
Broussard Jr. of Chesapeake, Robert D. Broussard of Virginia Beach and Wade A. 
Broussard of Norfolk; two sisters, Devota F. Pye of Pensacola, Fla., and Mary E. 
Pontiff of Chauvin, La.; three brothers, Raoul D. Broussard and Louis J. 
Broussard, both of Slidell, La., and Wayne F. Broussard of Biloxi, Miss.; and 
seven grandchildren.

The funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church by the Rev. Julian B. Goodman. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, where friends may visit the family. Memorial 
donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Tidewater Chapter.
