He was a native of Norfolk, a son of William Lee and Mrs. Ella Payne Brown. He was a member of St. Bride's Episcopal Church. Until his hospitalization about 10 years ago, he was machinist and toolmaker for J.G. Wilson Corp., South Norfolk, many years. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Basile of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Ivey B. Brown of Norfolk; and two grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted in Derry-Twiford Funeral Home Saturday at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. William C. Hoffman, rector of St. Bride's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
