The Virginian Pilot Thursday February 27, 1964
James Mitchell Brown, 72, of Berkley died in a Charlottesville hospital 
Tuesday after a long illness. 
A native of Salisbury, N.C., he lived in this area 63 years. He was a son of 
Charles and Mrs. Gertrude James Vogler Brown.
His only survivors are two uncles, W.R. Vogler of Norfolk and George E. 
Vogler of Salisbury.
The body was taken to Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, where a funeral service 
will be conducted today at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. O.D. Poythress. Burial will 
be in Magnolia Cemetery.
