F. Brown, on Saturday, June 30th, at 10 A.M., after a brief but painful illness of paralysis of the brain, Cynthia O., relict of the late Francis H. Brown, and daughter of the late Archibald Rose, of Revolutionary fame, aged 62 years and 4 months. Her affliction, though of the severest character, was borne without a murmur and with a resignation truly remarkable, sustained as she was by the consolations of religion, which as an antidote, both sure and steadfast, clung to her when all else of hope of an earthly character had utterly failed. It was this that enabled her amid the convulsions of expiring nature to rejoice and give assurance that a "far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory" awaited her in that bright land beyond the stormy sea of sublunary life. She has crossed the flood and passed over into the happy state of disembodied spirits to await the general resurrection morn, when soul and body, reunited, shall enter in through the gates of the New Jerusalem to enjoy the full fruition of Heaven. May those of her kindred whom she has left enter in through the gates of the New Jerusalem to enjoy the full fruition of Heaven. May those of her kindred whom she has left behind so live that it may at last be said of them, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord."
